Disinfection Cleaning

Schools and other public facilities are continuing to open back up and gather large groups of people back together within close quarters. We cannot emphasize enough the benefits of implementing electrostatic spraying into your cleaning regiment during this time.

What is Electrostatic Spraying?

Here at Quick & Clean, we recently introduced electrostatic spraying into our sanitation services' repertoire. It is the latest in innovative cleaning technology because it uses an air compressor to spray surfaces with controlled, uniform coverage of disinfectant. It is the next best technique to effectively neutralize germs and potentially harmful particles across surfaces in your commercial space with an even 360-degree coating. The particles of the applied disinfectant become electrostatically charged. This charge facilitates their ability to attract to surfaces with an extremely strong force and sanitize hard-to-reach places, even ones out of your line of sight!Electrostatic spraying cleaning kills germs, bacteria, and viruses from the surfaces and can last for a while. It has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses like SARS-CoV-2. Therefore, per the EPA's Emerging Pathogen Policy, these products can be used against SARS-CoV-2 when used correctly on hard, non-porous surfaces. However, pleae remember that in especially high traffic areas, electrostatic cleaning cannot continuously prevent covered surfaces from becoming re-infected. Businesses and institutions that see high traffic and use, such as hospitals and schools, will benefit from continued or regular electrostatic disinfection spraying. This type of sanitation prevents cross-contamination and saves time, energy, and reduces the amount of sickness. The electrostatic spraying systems deliver their powerful forces due to their AC-powered nature, as opposed to battery-powered systems, which don't possess as capable of utility. AC-powered systems assure a more consistent and even surface coverage.

How quickly does electrostatic disinfection work?

Electrostatic spraying kills 99.9% of bacteria in 5 seconds. We do recommend a lead time of two minutes, so the chemicals have the appropriate dwell time to be effective. We typically apply the spray in vacant areas.

Is electrostatic disinfection more effective than other cleaning methods?

Through rigorous efficacy testing, electrostatic spraying has proven its power and compatibility, combating bacteria, eliminating odors, and slowing the growth of mold and mildew. It can cover up to 18,000 square feet per hour, provide surface coverage up to four times faster than other products. It is also eligible for use against the virus that causes COVID-19 and certified by the United States' EPA Emerging Vital Pathogen Policy. Electrostatic Disinfectant treatment is applied using a state-of-the-art dispenser that produces positively charged droplets of solution onto surfaces. As the solution exits the electrostatic sprayer, it is attracted to all surfaces. The solution attaches to and collects unwanted negatively charged particles, which are then removed from the environment. This cleaning technique ultimately covers all the impossible corners, crevices, backsides, and other hard-to-reach places. The treatment spreads a thin layer of solution, generating quick drying time while maintaining a long-lasting disinfectant application.  "Foggers" or "Sprayers" DO NOT produce EPA approved levels of what is called "Microefficacy." Microefficacy means how well they deliver solutions in particle size to kill microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses completely.  Foggers and sprayers will result in uneven coverage. These small droplets do not wrap around surfaces and objects like electrostatic spraying does.     We highly recommend including Electrostatic Disinfection in your cleaning routine.
